Ticket Sales Terms and Conditions
1. Multiplay is authorised to sell tickets for the PC Gamer Showdown Event (the "Event") and the Local Area Network tournament operating within the Event (the "LAN Tournament") on behalf of Future Publishing Limited ("Event Partner"). This ticket remains the property of the Event Partner and is a personal revocable license which may be withdrawn and admission refused at any time upon refunding the purchase price. The purchaser of the Event or LAN Tournament tickets ("the Purchaser") represents and warrants that the ticket is purchased for personal use only, and that it is not purchased as part of any form of business or commercial activity (save as expressly authorised by the Event Partner and its agents), and in particular, that the ticket may not be resold or offered for resale by anyone whether at a premium or otherwise and may not be used for advertising, promotion (including contests and sweepstakes) or for any other trade purposes including, for the avoidance of doubt, any publication via the internet or any other means. Resale or attempted resale of a ticket, or any other breach of this term, is grounds for seizure or cancellation of that ticket without refund or other compensation. The Event Partner and its affiliates, successors, or assigns may enforce these terms in accordance with the provisions of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 (the Act). Except as provided above, this agreement does not create any right enforceable by any person who is not a party to it under the Act, but does not affect any right or remedy that a third party has which exists or is available apart from that Act.
2. Upon payment the Purchaser will be sent by Multiplay an e-ticket by email, including a unique booking reference number ("Unique Number") that must be brought to the Event/ the LAN Tournament, together with photo identification ("ID"). The venue reserves the right to refuse the Purchaser entry to the Event/LAN Tournament without their Unique Number and/ or ID.
3. It is the Purchaser’s responsibility to check his/ her tickets; mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. It is the Purchaser’s responsibility to ascertain whether the Event/LAN Tournament has been cancelled and the date and time of the same if rearranged. If the Event/ LAN Tournament is cancelled or rescheduled, the Event Partner will use reasonable endeavours to notify the Purchaser of the cancellation and rescheduled Event/LAN Tournament, however we do not guarantee that the Purchaser will be informed of such cancellation before the date of the Event.
5. If the Event/LAN Tournament is cancelled, the Purchaser will be offered seats at any rescheduled Event/ LAN Tournament or, if the Purchaser is unable to attend the rescheduled Event/ LAN Tournament or the Event/LAN Tournament is not rescheduled, a refund up to the full face value of the ticket. If only one day is cancelled, a partial refund only may be payable corresponding to the day cancelled. In order to claim your refund, the Purchaser should apply in writing to Future Publishing Limited, PC Gamer Showdown Event Team, Beauford Court, 30 Monmouth Street, Bath, BA1 2BW. The Purchaser must enclose his/her unused ticket and comply with any other reasonable instructions of Multiplay or the Event Partner. For accounting purposes, the Purchaser’s unused tickets must be received within 28 days from the date of the cancelled Event/LAN Tournament. This does not affect the Purchaser’s statutory rights. We regret that unless this paragraph 5 applies, tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
6. This ticket is issued subject to the following age restrictions in relation to the LAN Tournament: i) participants must be over 14 years old and if participants are between the ages of 14 and 16 years old, he/she must be accompanied by an adult; or ii) participants aged between 16 and 18 years old, if not accompanied by an adult, must have on their person a signed parental letter of consent permitting him/her to participate in the same.
7. This ticket is issued subject to the Rules and Regulations of the venue and Event Partner. Full details are available at the venue. Breach of any of these Rules and Regulations or any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury shall entitle the venue or Event Partner to eject the Purchaser from the venue, pursuant to which the Purchaser will have no right to a refund.
8. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission should patrons breach any Rules and Regulations of the venue or Event Partner. The venue may on occasions have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
9. Neither Multiplay nor the Event Partner are responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen. In the event that a ticket is lost or stolen prior to the Event/LAN Tournament, the Purchaser may use his/ her Unique Number together with ID to gain entry to the Event/LAN Tournament in accordance with clause 2 of this agreement.
10. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or Event Partner's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets to the Purchaser.
11. The unauthorized use of photographic and recording equipment is prohibited. Tapes or films may be destroyed. Mobile phones, dogs (except guide dogs) and patron's own food and drink may also be prohibited (please check with the venue).
12. The venue, Event Partner and Multiplay accept no responsibility for loss or damage to any personal property.
13. Tickets may be restricted to a maximum number per person, per credit card and, a restriction may apply per household. We reserve the right to cancel tickets purchased in excess of this number without prior notice.
14. Neither the venue, the Event Partner, nor Multiplay shall have any further liability beyond the face value of the ticket purchased plus the relevant per ticket booking fee.
15. All of these terms and conditions are governed by English Law and any disputes arising out of any transaction between the parties are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
