Microsoft have taken the surprise move of allowing copies of their Windows operating system to be distributed by Valve's Steam platform. Windows Vista will be available for as little as £89.99 on the service, whilst offering a £299.99 "Microsoft Suite" which includes MS DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Hover.

Windows Vista will be available on Steam from May 1st and will include a free demo of Windows 7 for all pre-orders. Those attending i36 will be able to pre-load Vista from our fast local servers.
